For this contest, we want you to blend two different mediums: visual art and writing. Of the three paintings shown below, choose one and write a poem or a flash fiction story to compliment it. Does it inspire excitement? Depression? Happiness? Perhaps a character is stealing one of these works, or maybe a character lives within one of these worlds. As an added challenge, find a creative way to incorporate a shoe and use it throughout.
300-800 words for a story
or
1-3 poems
Deadline is 11:59 p.m. on December 14, 2014.
We do accept simultaneous submissions.
Please do not include personal information (name, email, etc.) in the story/poem itself.
We will pick the top three submissions as winners.
First, second, and third place receive publication.
Email submissions to alchemistreview@gmail.com
